PRAYER OF INTENTION

Almighty and Loving Father,

We thank you for your love and your grace

and for the spirit of your Son which is growing in each human soul

and is the power by which we turn evil into good.

Through and by his spirit we pray

and ask that you grant the souls and spirits

of those who have perished in this terrorist action

an extraordinary experience;

not only of being received lovingly and peacefully into the heavens,

but of consciously beholding your vision of what this world can be.

May they be made powerful and strong in determination

to be fountains of goodness and growth

not only in the future but right now.

We pray for their families and loved ones,

and the survivors of this tragic episode,

that they may be receptive to these higher inspirations,

that they may be clear seeing and filled with your higher purpose.

We pray for all who are working to make the best of this situation.

May their enlarged souls be filled with your presence.

We pray for our world leaders, that in their invoking of one another’s friendship,

in their prayers, in their gathering together,

it be the spirit of your Son who will inspire them and strengthen them.

Grant them the forces of Michael: real courage, real creativity, real imagination,

so that the forces of anger may be transformed into their higher counterparts

and the real fruits of this event may be revealed.

And may we also, O Father, be given the courage to right now

revoke our past and embrace a lifestyle and thinking that is in harmony

with the real essence of our being: the Christ.

May we never again cause such sorrow.

So shall it be.
