Lent 2010
Ash Wednesday Cosmic Mass

Ash Wednesday, wich marks the commencement of the Lenten season, has long been associated with repentance. We are called to repentance, to a change of heart and mind, and a change of direction. Se are called to decision and to decisive action to that we may journey deeper and deeper into the Easter mysteries.

Holy Week and Easter 2010
Palm Sunday Cosmic Mass

A celebration of the commencement of Holy Week and the start of our journey with Christ through his passion and death to the resurrection. Palm crosses are blessed and given during this service.
Holy Week Communion Services

A time of communion and fellowship as we journey together with Christ to the heart of the Easter mystery.
Meditation on the Fourteen Stations of the Cross
7.30pm Thursday 1 April
A meditation on images of Christ’s suffering and death. The human soul moved away from God in the earlier days of human evolution. Each image or “station” in this meditation reveals an experience of our soul as it now engages in the process of returning to God through the mediation of Christ. The service concludes with the dramatic stripping of the altar in preparation for Good Friday.
Good Friday Agape (Communion) Service
11.00am Friday 2 April
You are invited to our Good Friday Agape – a communion meal where you will be participating in co-celebration with the priests. All will be seated at tables, as in the Last Supper that Christ shared with his disciples. We will bless and share hot cross buns and wine (non-alcoholic drinks available) in this moving ceremony reminiscent of ancient tradition.
Veneration of Light
11.00pm Saturday 3 April
A richly liturgical and deeply symbolic depiction of the transformation that occurs within the darkness of Christ’s tomb. Fire is kindled and the Paschal (Easter) Candle is blessed, then the emptiness of the altar transforms as it is filled with flowers and candlelight in readiness for the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.
Easter Sunday Cosmic Mass
11.00am Sunday 4 April
A joyous celebration of Christ’s triumph over death in resurrection, and a recognition that through this act we too may now be transformed.
