THE SEED PLANTED - the Teachings and Gifts Imparted by our Founders

In the recent edition of CentreCOMM (August 2007), an article was published entitled “Wonderful Words of Life”. It was an excerpt of a new book about the essential teachings imparted to us by our Founders, Reverend Mario and Colin. This new book was launched at Michaelmas in Melbourne by Reverend Antoinette Schoenmaker who compiled this. A number of individuals from Centres around the world contributed to this book by answering in a sentence or two, “What was the essential gift or teaching you received from Mario and Colin?” Their answers help illuminate the personal effect that Mario and Colin had on us, as well as uncover some of their fundamental teachings.

At this time of the year, during the festival of St John, we should be able to lift up our thoughts that concern the being of mankind, and place the figure of the human individual into the sphere of cosmic conceptions. Do not, I beg you, lower your consciousness and perceive mankind in the pain and misery, violence and bloodshed of earthly limitations, but rather see the grandeur of mankind, and its place in the universe.

The Task of St John’s Tide (Cosmic Mass 20th June 1993)

This great and wonderful figure stands out in history as the last prophet of the old, but at the same time as lauding in a new consciousness which would typify every human being as divinely human. I think the reason why St John's tide is not celebrated by the world and Christians alike is the underlying fear of really becoming human. If we think that we are fully human, we are mistaken, for we have not as yet become cosmic in our thinking, acting and expressing. We are still too parochial and narrow in our lifestyle, manners and even spiritual awareness.

The John Principle (Cosmic Mass 27th June 1993)

In the Gospels we find two men who are called John. One is the Baptist, who opened the way and stands therefore at the beginning of the ministry of Christ, and the other is called the Beloved, and stands virtually at the end of the ministry of Jesus. These two were the first to reveal the true nature of Christ and, in that sense, the true Christian nature within self. They were therefore also the first to bring to light the pattern of the true Christed human being.

The Result of the Baptist’s Message (Cosmic Mass 23rd June 1996)

Before we were born we had a choice placed before us. One was to stay in heavenly places, which is a Luciferic temptation, and this would have meant that we could not evolve and grow any further. The other choice was to incarnate, and if we decided to do that it meant that God could work on us and grant us the fullness of evolution. So before coming to this earth, God gave us a picture, an image. It was the image of the complete and perfect human being.
