THE FESTIVAL OF MICHAELMAS 2007

Michael is the invisible spirit through which you and I can contact the divine worlds again. Through Michael we have the ability to perceive through the levels of matter, through the levels of the senses, through our intelligence, to the spirit behind things.*
Rev Mario Schoenmaker, September/October 1991 & August/September 2006 issues of CentreCOMM

The Michael Festival began with a seminar/ workshop on September 22.

Rev Trisha started the afternoon with teaching about Michael that inspired images in the participants. After a meditation, the group divided into four smaller groups to express these images through music, dance, design or words.

This creativity brought into being a new prayer and new songs for Michaelmas, art works for an altar backdrop and a dance to lead into an afternoon of reflection following the Cosmic Mass on September 30.

Michaelmas Prayer

O valorous Michael
Mighty Archangel, Shining Regent of Truth:
Accept the gifts of our soul -
the light of our consciousness,
the strength of our will,
our devotion to the spiritual worlds
and our striving to express our I AMness.
May our arms be strong,
our swords sharp,
so that we may pierce
the fog of our unconsciousness
to reveal the face of Christ within us
and enable his spirit to flow freely
throughout the world.
So shall it be.

Some 'human sculptures' at our post Michaelmas service workshop
to explore the meaning of Michael in our lives.

Michael is the revealer.
It is he who reveals to you the wonderful truth that you are a spiritual being.
He reveals that your fellow human being is a spiritual being.
If you take hold of these thoughts
your physical senses will lessen and your spiritual sense will start operating.
