Advent Sunday marks the beginning of the new spiritual year.

In 'Meditations of the Days of Advent', Rev Mario leads us from the promise of the coming of light into the world to the birth of Jesus.

An important part of these daily meditations is the burning of a candle which signifies the Christ light. As we draw closer to Christmas, the candle burns down and we recognise that the true light is entering into our being.

Details about the book Meditations of the Days of Advent by Rev Mario are available on the 'Bookshop' page of the ICA HQ web site.

A collection of stimulating addresses in which the people, places and events of Christmas take on new meaning as their metaphysical and esoteric significance is unfolded, and the mystery of the Christ impulse in evolution is explained.

More details about Choosing Transformation are on the Bookshop page of the ICA HQ site.

A Prayer for Christmas and the New Year

May the light of your presence, dear Lord,
become a living flame within me.
May I, the bearer of your light,
exude this power to such a degree
that I may be able to illuminate others
with the light of your life, grace, power
and inner strength.
Let this light be the expression
of my spiritual self and individuality.
In the name of Christ I pray.
So shall it be.
